Today, we received a warning from our client stating that PayPal payments were no longer possible on the website, so we went and tested it only to confirm that it was not in fact possible to connect to PayPal any longer. The answer was that it was, so we proceeded with no changes and the payments continued to happen (last of which on the 8th of July).Īlthough many broken links were found throughout the PayPal website and web references when following the buttons that would supposedly provide help on solving any issues and getting prepared for the future changes, since the website continued to work without issues, we concluded that there was no action required and that the website was/is compliant with the recent changes on Paypal.

We contacted our client informing him of the account limitations, and also contacted our hosting provider to confirm that the server was prepared for TLS 1.2 and HTTP 1.1. Recently we've received warning that Paypal was about to change its encryption method to TLS 1.2 and HTTP 1.1.įollowing this warning, the account for one of the websites started to throw alerts stating that although no problems would occur on the website while receiving payments, the account had been blocked from withdrawing and paying any external service with its available credit. Please monitor our TLS 1.2 and HTTP/1.1 Upgrade Microsite for the most up-to-date information. We've been using ExpressCheckout for asp.net for a long time now (several years), and its been working well on two distinct websites that use the same Paypal implementation. Scheduled change dates provided in this email and on the TLS 1.2 and HTTP/1.1 Upgrade Microsite are subject to change. We strongly encourage you to adjust your configuration and test your integration prior to the Payflow Production upgrade currently scheduled starting after June 30, 2017.įor more information on the Payflow TLS 1.2 upgrade, you can refer to our TLS 1.2 and HTTP/1.1 Upgrade Microsite. In preparation for the upgrade, you’ll be able to test your integration in the Payflow Pilot environment after February 15, 2017. When that happens, we’ll no longer support TLS versions 1.0 and 1.1. Payflow production endpoints are scheduled to be upgraded to TLS 1.2 starting after June 30, 2017. We announced last year our plans to strengthen our Payflow integration as part of a broader infrastructure security initiative. Security and safety are top priorities for PayPal, but being a good partner to you is equally important.

I’ve already been receiving payments, and it’s past 2/15/17 (as cited in the notice) but I still want to be sure EE has dealt with any integration changes. I just want to be sure there won’t be any issues with this upgrade. I have been notified by Paypal of an upgrade to Payflow and am using it for EE3.
